Every person matters. Every journey counts.
For those experiencing homelessness, the journey to stability is rarely a straight path. It takes more than a shelter for the night or a single act of assistance, it requires consistent support, community, and the opportunity to rebuild with dignity.
Friendship House and Limen Recovery + Wellness have united through a strategic partnership, combining our missions, teams, and expertise to expand service and strengthen support for communities across the region!
Finding a path forward
We believe every person deserves a place to call home.
We see the challenges.
- Lack of Stable Housing – Many individuals struggle with houselessness or unstable living conditions, making it difficult to find security and build a stable future.
- Lack of Meaningful and Sustainable Employment – Limited job opportunities, lack of skills, and past challenges (such as incarceration) create many barriers to obtaining good, sufficient employment.
- Access to Healthcare & Mental Health Services – Many people face barriers to medical care, mental health support, and substance use treatment due to cost or availability.
- Food Insecurity – Consistent access to nutritious food is a challenge, especially for those without stable income or housing.
- Social Stigma & Isolation – Stigma and isolation don’t just result from homelessness—they often cause it. You can be housed and still experience homelessness when there’s no stability or sense of belonging, making reintegration even harder.
What our friends are saying about us:
Our students and families who are experiencing financial hardship are very grateful for the presence of our uniform closet. We would not have been able to support as many students to come to school with pride in their appearance without your help

When I thought I couldn't keep doing the right thing, they told me I could. I didn't believe it, they kept telling me over and over and now I finally believe it. I've never been supported like that before.

Because of the Friendship House donation, we are able to supplement clothing needs for not just those in need, but all students. It feels good to know we can provide a need and put parents at ease.

Annual Garden Fundraiser
May thru June
Our Garden Fundraiser is a heartfelt way to recognize someone special while supporting our Housing Program. Whether it’s for a holiday, milestone, special occasion, or in honor or memory of a loved one, your gift marks those moments in a thoughtful, lasting way.
We will send a note to your honoree or their family to let them know a donation was made in their name, a simple gesture that helps hope continue to grow in our community.
